Pokemon GO players aren't exactly short of Shiny Pokemon to capture, but developer Niantic has just given players even more reasons to get outside.
Putting aside the recently added Team Rocket event and Team Rocket Grunts populating the map, Pokemon GO players are constantly on the hunt for well over 120 Shiny Pokemon in the game already.
BUT, let's be honest, Niantic is keen on pumping out as many Shiny Pokemon as possible, and now players are reporting that there's been a further three shiny Pokemon added to the game this evening.
Reports are circling that Shiny Ekans , Shiny Koffing and Shiny Sneasel are available. And on top of this, you can evolve each Pokemon into it's shiny evolved forms of Arbok, Weezing, and Weavile.
For the purpose of this page, we're focusing on the gen 2 ice pokemon, Sneasel and also the evolved form, Weavile.
So here's everything you need to know about getting the games shiny pink cat.
How To Catch Shiny Sneasel?
At the time of writing, we can say for certain that your best bet of encountering a shiny Sneasel will be in the wild.
Equally, it's worth remembering that it's not possible to encounter a Shiny Weavile in the wild.
Keep reading as we've broken down all of the potential ways you might be able to encounter a Shiny Sneasel moving forward.
Egg Hatches :
At the time of writing, Sneasel is currently available in 5km eggs. You just need to be REALLY lucky.
Raid Battles:
At the time of writing, Sneasel is currently available to fight and catch as tier 2 raid boss.
In the Wild:
Sneasel is spawning in the wild, with slightly increased rates for the duration of the Team Rocket event. However, to increase your chances of encountering a shiny, you want to go somewhere spawning as many Sneasel as possible.
We'd suggest that to boost your chances you should head over to the Silph Road Global Nest Atlas to find your nearest Sneasel nest, because obviously, the more you encounter, the higher your odds.
