GTA 6 October reveal – Grand Theft Auto 6 set for imminent reveal
An October GTA 6 reveal is looking increasingly likely, as the Grand Theft Auto sequel is given an age rating in Australia. The Australian classification board has given Grand Theft Auto 6 an MA 15+ age certificate, citing instances of drug use and sexual scenes. Needless to say, the appearance of the age rating has added fuel to the rumours that GTA 6 will be unveiled later this month, ahead of a 2024 launch.
The rumours of an October GTA 6 reveal started after Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick was allegedly recorded confirming the plans.
According to the alleged voice recording, the Take-Two boss claims GTA 6 will be revealed on October 23. The game itself will reportedly launch 12 months later, at some point next October.
Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive previously told investors to expect a record cash boost in the 2025 fiscal year, which runs from April 2024 to March 2025.
Needless to say, Zelnick’s comments have fuelled speculation that Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch during this period, as only something like GTA could generate “record levels of operating performance” for Take-Two Interactive.
In a statement to investors, Zelnick said: “We remain confident that we are positioning our business for a significant inflection point in fiscal 2025, which we believe will include new record levels of operating performance.
“We would like to thank all of our stakeholders for their continued support, and we look forward to delivering on this exciting next chapter.”
Take-Two’s chief financial officer Lainie Goldstein also commented on the cash boost, telling investors to expect a “significant inflection point” in fiscal 2025.
“We are confident that the actions our teams are taking this year are preparing us for a strong trajectory of growth,” Goldstein said.
“Through our collective efforts, we continue to believe that we are positioning our business for a significant inflection point in fiscal 2025 that will culminate in us delivering new record levels of operating performance next year and beyond.”

Fans already know a little bit about the next Grand Theft Auto, following a huge leak last year.
Judging by the leaks, it looks like the new Grand Theft Auto will take place in Vice City, and will feature male and female playable characters.
In one scene the characters were shown robbing a diner, which backs up earlier reports of a Bonnie and Clyde-style dynamic.
Another leak suggests Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature multiple drag racing strips, as well as at least one farm.
