When is the live Doomsday Event? – Update 1: We're fast approaching the start time for Epic Games next big live in-game event which is now less than two hours away.
Unlike the past few events which have felt more like big digital concerts or film viewings, Epic Games will return to their big bombastic set pieces tonight.
And ahead of the Doomsday event going live the games Fortnite Status support account on Twitter has issued a few warnings and pieces of intel to keep the millions of Fortnite players informed as to how this is all going down.
"The Device is almost set for activation," the support account tells fans "Midas’ plan will unfold at 2:00 PM ET (18:00 UTC). Space is limited, so we recommend arriving 30 minutes early to help secure your spot. Creative mode, Party Royale, and Battle Lab are currently disabled."
In addition to the above, the account also told players in the last hour that"Custom match codes are currently disabled".
Looks like Epic Games are throwing everything at this latest event. But if you want to see what actually happens, you'll have to make sure you either play the game later on and get in early, or tune in to one of the many streamers who'll be covering the event.
More to follow.
Original Story Follows – Fortnite Season 2 of Chapter 2 will come to its long-overdue conclusion next week ushering in Season 3. However, not before Epic Games ritual end of season event which this time around appears to be nicknamed… The Fortnite Doomsday Event.
That's not ominous at all, is it?
But don't worry, we're not anticipating another black hole event. This time around all signs are pointing towards a far more watery conclusion than we've seen before.
Fortnite have already teased the upcoming event this weekend with a casual tweet on Saturday evening (when the event would have normally taken place) which simply read:
"The clock is ticking, his plan is in place, can the Storm be Broken? We’ll see in two days…"
Players have also reported that the hatches surrounding The Agency building, in the middle of the map, have also started opening this weekend.
Quite how they play into the event isn't quite clear, but thankfully there's not long to go before we find out. Read on, for everything you need to know.

When Does Fortnite Doomsday Event Start?
According to the countdown timers, the Fortnite Season 2 event will start on Monday, June 15 at7.05pm in the United Kingdom.
As mentioned previously, there was a slight delay due to Epic extending the season and then out of respect for the Black Lives Matter movement. Originally this was meant to take place on Saturday, May 30 at 7.05pm BST.
However, despite everything taking place on a Monday, which is very out of character for the series, all signs suggest it should function just like any other event we've previously seen in Fortnite.
For anyone else in the world hoping to catch the event in real-time, you can expect the Fortnite Doomsday event to start at these times:
• United States – 2.05pm EST (Eastern Time) and 11.05 PST (Pacific Time)
• Europe – 8.05pm CET (Central European Time)
• Asia – 2.05am CST (China Standard Time)
• Australia – 4.05am AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

What will happen during the Fortnite The End event?
As usual, the Live Event in Fortnite is normally a passing of the torch, bringing a close to the current season (Fortnite Season 2) and setting the wheels in motion for what's to come in the upcoming Season (Fortnite Season 3).
Like most recent Seasons, predicting what will happen precisely is quite tricky because Epic Games have encrypted the files which contain all the assets for these events.
Normally Epic Games will unpack these a few hours before the event begins, but you'll be hard pushed to find any leakers or dataminers willing to share details that close to the big event starting.
However, judging from some official Season 3 leaks, we do have a surprisingly good idea of what will happen.
Leading up to the event, all signs suggested that the map might become submerged underwater in some form.
And the official imagery for Season 3 leaked on the PlayStation store would suggest that these leaks are not too far away from the truth.
The image seen below appears to show the whole island underwater as the battle bass passes overhead.

When does Fortnite Season 3 start?
Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite Season 3 will start on Wednesday, June 17.
Normally with a new season, we see teaser posters released following the event in the days running up to the next season of the Battle Royale game.
Usually, these teasers contain hints as to new skins and gameplay mechanics.
However, with two delays to the new season already and the short window between when the event ends and when the new season begins, it's unlikely we'll see many teasers.

Alternatively, maybe Epic Games will go hell for leather and just released a flurry of teaser posters in a shorter timeframe to really get the hype train running at full steam before the season begins.
We would expect new seasons of Fortnite to begin early in the morning for UK players, but so far, no precise release times have been shared by Epic Games, so stay tuned for more details.
Equally, keep your eyes peeled on this page as we count down to the start of the next event. We'll be sure to update the page with more info and details as they become available.
