The Pricey Xbox Series X/S Expansion Card Gets A Prime Day Discount At Target
Amazon Prime Day is here, which means deals not just at the online retailer itself but also plenty of discounts at its competitors hosting anti-Prime Day sales. One such deal is a tidy little savings on the expansion card for Xbox Series X and Series S.
The discount is available through Target Circle, which offers opt-in coupons with a free membership. One of today’s coupons is 10% off any one electronics item or video game, and that includes the Series X/S Seagate expansion card. That card is usually a whopping $220, so with the discount applied you save $22, or about $198 before tax. Not bad.
To take advantage of the deal, just make sure to activate the Target Circle coupon first, and then you’ll see it applied in your cart at checkout. The deal has been coming and going throughout the day, so be sure to grab it while you can.
Xbox Series X and Series S can use any regular hard drive for storage, and it will be able to play backwards-compatible games from any external drive. However, to play a Series X or Series S game, you’ll need to either move games to the internal storage or the Seagate SSD. At 1 TB, this effectively doubles the storage space of the Series X, and triples the storage of Series S, though note that Series S games will also be significantly smaller.
Of course, the coupon applies to any electronics or video game item, so if you don’t want to spring for the expansion card, you can always put it toward something else like a game.
