PC Marked For Download: Dragon Marked For Death Comes To PC

Feeling nostalgic for 2D side-scrolling adventures on PC? You’re in luck, because Dragon Marked for Death is coming to PC via Steam on April 21st, Inti Creates announced. The game was initially released for Nintendo Switch in 2019, and the team says they have already sold more than 120,000 units.

The game can be played either solo or with up to four players, either locally or in online multiplayer, as one of four playable characters. The characters are survivors of the Dragonblood Clan, hell-bent on getting revenge for the destruction of the clan and kidnapping of their Oracle by the Kingdom of Medius.

The game will be available for 39.99 USD / 39.99 EUR / 35.99 GBP, according to the team’s Twitter, and will include two bonus unlockable characters. Players will have to meet certain conditions in the game in order to add these to the roster. The price includes everything from the game itself, to new characters, to the DLC – instead of being separated into three different packages like it is for the Switch.

The game has released mixed reviews, with people mostly saying that it is not as compelling to play solo as it is with friends – which means you will need to persuade people to join you. On the other hand, we are practising social distancing, so maybe picking up this game would be a good way to stay in touch with your friends.

Field set for Short Track Challenge title race at Martinsville

The third and final race before the Short Track Challenge championship decider at virtual Martinsville Speedway has been run and the field is set.

The third round of the Short Track Challenge took place at Myrtle Beach Speedway where the final five spots on the grid were decided.

In the first 45 lap shootout, Myatt Snider got away with the race lead but had Dale Earnhardt Jr. in hot pursuit.

Timmy Hill was able to take the lead halfway through the event, but not for long as Ryan Preece worked his way past him with 16 laps remaining.

Preece would go on to win the race with Earnhardt second and Matt DiBenedetto third.

In Race 2, the field was inverted and Hill led from the get-go. Landon Cassill was able to get under him and take the lead on Lap 11, checking out.

Earnhardt and Preece conserved their tires and tried to make a late charge, but were unable to gain enough ground to challenge.

Cassill was able to cruise to the racewin ahead of Hill with DiBenedetto again third.

They will join the field for Thursday’s championship event along with the race winner’s from earlier in the week — William Byron (Rockingham), Kyle Larson (Lucas Oil) and Christopher Bell (Lucas Oil).

Provisionals will fill out the remaining five spots on the grid. They are Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Parker Kligerman, Earnhardt and Chase Briscoe.

Grab 59 Classic Sega Games For Only $9 On PC

If you’re in the mood to play some retro games, there are two great PC games bundles on sale celebrating Sega’s heyday. The Sega Mega Drive and Genesis Classics Bundle includes a whopping 59 games for only $9, while the Dreamcast Collection features a much smaller compilation of six games for just $4.49 at Fanatical. If you purchase them at Fanatical, you’ll receive codes that can be redeemed on Steam. The sale runs until tomorrow, April 9 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET.

The Sega Mega Drive and Genesis Classics Bundle is normally $30, and the PC version features several more games than console versions, including Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Ecco the Dolphin, and Eternal Champions.

The Dreamcast Collection is more focused with only six games. It also regularly sells for $30, so it’s 85% off right now. It comes with the following games:

  • Crazy Taxi
  • Jet Set Radio
  • Nights Into Dreams
  • Sega Bass Fishing
  • Sonix Adventure DX
  • Space Channel 5: Part 2

The bundles are also on sale directly through Steam, but they are a bit pricier. The Sega Genesis Classics Bundle is $12.30 on Steam, and the Dreamcast Collection is $11.11, though it does come with one extra game, Sonic Adventure 2.

The Sega Genesis Collection is currently discounted to $12 on the Nintendo Eshop for the Switch’s Spring Sale. Though it may sound weird to say, classic Sega games feel right at home on the Nintendo Switch. The Switch isn’t the only platform holding a spring sale right now; you can also shop for hundreds of game deals at the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Epic Games Store.

The best invisible braces for your teeth in 2020

Presented by Verma Media

If you’re thinking about straightening your smile this year, there are a number of options out there, including at-home solutions that make it easy and affordable as well as more traditional in-office options. With so many different brands of invisible braces on the market, what’s the best choice?

We’ve broken down some of the biggest players in this space below!

At-home invisible aligners: how it works

Before we go into your options, we want to give you a quick explanation of at-home, doctor-directed teeth straightening for mild to moderate tooth movement. The process starts with an at-home impression kit which a licensed dental professional uses to create your treatment plan. The company then sends you your aligners without you ever having to leave the house, which can be especially important during this time of social distancing.

You’ll start with the first set of aligners, which begin to move your teeth toward their final destinations as directed in the treatment plan. Throughout the course of treatment, you’ll switch to new sets of aligners that bring your teeth closer and closer to the outcome, until you finish the last set of aligners.

This differs from traditional in-office treatment where the dentist or orthodontist takes impressions or a scan of your teeth in-office. Then, throughout the course of treatment you will have in-office check-ins as directed by your doctors.

byte, the fastest at-home invisible aligners

While other at-home invisible aligner options can take six months to a year on average and in-office treatment can take up to two years, byte treatment averages just three short months. They make this possible through an FDA-cleared high frequency acceleration device called HyperByte that uses high frequency vibration (HFV) technology for safe, effective treatment. This is one of their biggest differentiators compared to other companies in this space.

HyperByte transmits micropulses through the roots of the teeth to the surrounding bone, helping prevent inaccurate tooth movement and speeding treatment by increasing overall cellular activity. With the use of HyperByte, you will change aligners every five to seven days compared to switching aligners once every two weeks, the traditional method used by other at-home aligner companies.

Additionally, byte uses what they call SmileScience where they analyze the proportions of your face to design a smile unique to your look. This is different from other aligner companies (including in-office treatment) that put your teeth through the same software program—and run the same alignment procedures—without taking your actual face into account.

At just $1895 (with a monthly payment plan option of $249 up front then $83/month for 25 months), byte is an affordable solution for people looking for straighter teeth. Not only are all plans created by a licensed orthodontist, but their customer care team is 100% U.S.-based for quick, easy access to questions throughout the course of treatment. Plus, they include premium teeth whitening treatment, a free retainer at the end of treatment, and a lifetime guarantee. If at any time after going through your byte treatment and while using your retainers your smile moves out of alignment, they will help get it back into alignment at no additional cost.

SmileDirectClub: your basic at-home invisible aligners

Similar to byte, SmileDirectClub offers affordable aligners at $1,895 with a monthly payment plan option. While their aligners include free teeth whitening, the retainer is an extra cost at the end of treatment, with no lifetime guarantee.

Without HFV technology, their treatment plans take six months on average. Instead, patients use “chewies,” small cylindrical chewing devices made of a soft spongy plastic-like material that you chew on while wearing their aligners. SmileDirectClub’s customer support is not 100% based in the U.S.

Candid Co.: at-home aligners with remote monitoring

A little pricier than other at-home options, Candid Co. aligners cost $2,400 (26% more expensive). Their aligners include free teeth whitening, but retainers at the end of treatment are extra, and there’s no lifetime guarantee.

They claim this allows them to reduce treatment time by allowing you to change aligners faster depending on the results captured during remote monitoring. Like SmileDirectClub, Candid uses chewies to seat aligners.

Invisalign: the leading in-office invisible aligners

The leading in-office option—used by both dentists and orthodontists—Invisalign costs $3,000 to $7,000 on average with treatment time averaging 12 to 18 months. With this option, you’ll be spending regular time at the dentist, especially if your treatment requires attachments (or anchors) for your aligners. The primary benefit of Invisalign is that these brackets do allow for more complicated cases beyond mild to moderate tooth movement.

Clear Correct: budget in-office invisible aligners

Another in-office option, ClearCorrect aligners cost anywhere from $2,000 to $8,000, making them a more affordable solution in some cases. They do not provide an average treatment time, though the Consumer Guide to Dentistry reports they can take from 12 to 24 months.

Fast, affordable, guaranteed

To us, the winner for treating mild to moderate malocclusion is clear: byte invisible aligners. Not only are they the fastest option, they’re one of the most affordable solutions on the market, with a lifetime guarantee.

Nolan North Isn’t Hyped For An Uncharted Movie

Voice actor Nolan North isn’t all that pumped over the prospect of an Uncharted movie but he says he’s pretty excited about the announcement regarding the TV show based on The Last Of Us.

North has lent his voice to plenty of videogames, including the Uncharted series, a title in which he voices the main character, Nathan Drake. North was speaking on the Retro Replay YouTube channel, where he discussed the aforementioned Naughty Dog titles, having played through TLOU on the show back in November. The voice actor said he was way more excited over the planned HBO series than a movie based on Uncharted, adding he doesn’t think the film will work

North discussed the upcoming TLOU series at length, highlighting the fact that it will be based on the game’s main characters, Joel and Ellie, as opposed to coming in the form of a spin-off.

Meanwhile, the Uncharted project has been hit by another stroke of misfortune. After getting a new director back in February (for the seventh time), the creators had finally started filming – but they had to shut things down on the first day of shooting due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Actor Tom Holland, who will play a young Nathan Drake in the movie, revealed as much last month.

“We showed up for our first day of shooting and then they shut us down,” Holland said during an Instagram Live chat with singer Justin Bieber. “I was in Berlin, so I had to come home and now I’m back in London.”

10 mantras for steering your business through this crisis

The dotcom crash happened almost exactly 20 years ago today. I felt the same shiver then as I did this week. The company I was with, Conducent, saw revenues decline by 70%, followed by a 75% drop from the Nasdaq. $8 trillion of wealth was destroyed, and digital media couldn’t even be given away because doubleclick ad delivery contracts were so high that the media wasn’t worth the ad serving.

Tough decisions had to be made, and startups experienced immense challenges. But from that, we all gained a lot of resilience and found ways forward. So while I felt that old shiver, I also know there’s hope.

I don’t have all the answers on how to weather this crisis, but I do want to offer up 10 subtle but important considerations for business leaders who are going through this kind of struggle for the first time.

1. Cash is king. You will always need more of it than you realize. There are many ways to cut costs, and most things you think you need, you don’t. Maximize cash all the ways you can. Most are painful — even one-ply toilet paper. Don’t wait; do them.

2. Your reputation is longer than this crisis. Act with integrity and honesty. Many of the things you may need to do with your product, team, investors, customers, etc. are hard. Do them with kindness and honesty. People remember how you act. Your reputation is your future.

3. Focus on what matters. In times of optimism and plenty of cash, it’s easy to have exciting adventurous projects and products. It’s time to shelve them and pick what matters and myopically focus on it. You can dream later.

4. Move to quality. Customers will flock to quality and value in your area. If you are not the quality value offering, you’re in trouble. Find your new quality value product market fit and offer it.

5. Get grit. The last five market years have been defined by the importance of good sleep, radical work-life balance, and no email after hours. I survived and thrived each crisis by being gritty and working hard, longer, faster and smarter than I ever imagined. Everyone defines success in their own way, but I strongly recommend finding your grit and executing aggressively in hard times.

6. Respect each other. Leaders, please respect your team. Employees, please respect your leader. Hard times are super stressful, and leaders and teams can become anxious and stressed out. They may make dumb decisions, not appreciate you enough, and even lose it. Take a breath and practice as much common understanding as you can.

7. Negotiate. We are all in this together, so in an effort to cut costs realistically, talk to your vendors about discounts, rationalizing payment schedules and trade.

8. Speak plainly. Cut the industry jargon. This industry babble isn’t tolerable in the best of times, but in hard times it is painful. Everyone listens closer than ever before in hard times, so speak clearly and honestly to everyone inside and outside your company. It will be appreciated.

9. Talk to someone. Whether you’re an employee or an entrepreneur, you need someone to talk to in hard times to relieve stress and gain perspective and support. It is critical; find the right person.

10. Never give up. The last one who doesn’t give up wins. Focus on everything you can do to be successful, and never give up until it’s not your choice. Whether you win or lose, you’ll feel better knowing you did everything you could.

With the various crises I’ve experienced over the last 20 years, I was almost waiting for the next one to rear up. I’m hopeful that this one will be somewhat moderate and brief. But in the event this takes longer than we expect, it’ll be important to keep practicing these mantras.

Bob Regular is CEO of Infolinks.
