Free Games To Claim Right Now: Gone Home, Drawful 2, And More

Many of us are stuck inside for the next several weeks, and online storefronts and developers are taking note and giving away a bunch of games for free to help us kill the time. PS4, Xbox One, and PC games are all being given away. Because of this, we’ve decided to collect all of the games that are free for a limited time so you can easily claim any you’re interested in. This list won’t include any games that are normally free-to-play–like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Apex Legends–but you’re sure to find something to fall in love with, whether it’s an old PC classic, a must-play iPhone game, or a brand-new game.

The freebies span multiple platforms and storefronts, with most of the options available on PC from stores like Steam, GOG, and Itch.io. Notably, you can snag Gone Home and the brand-new Totally Reliable Delivery Service for free on Epic, and Drawful 2 is free on several platforms. Ubisoft announced it’s doing a full month of game giveaways and free trials.

Of course, it’s important to remember you may already be subscribed to a service that gives you access to free monthly games. PlayStation Plus, Xbox Live Gold, and Twitch Prime all currently have free games available for the month of March, and more are scheduled to arrive in April.

On top of that, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is currently $1 for your first month. Ultimate gives you access to a huge library of games on both Xbox One and PC, in addition to all the benefits from Xbox Live Gold, including those free monthly games. There are a number of other similar services like PlayStation Now, EA Access, Origin Access, and UPlay+.

We’ll keep this list updated as more free games become available, so stay tuned throughout the week. In the meantime, check out all the free games you can claim on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile below. If you’re looking for more recommendations, check out some of the best movies, TV shows, and games to get for social distancing.

Last Chance To Claim This Great Game For Free On PC

Ubisoft announced today that it plans to provide people with free games, trials, and more throughout April as a way to support those who are stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first bonus is a free copy of Rayman Legends on PC, which is available to claim until April 3. You can find this offer as well as all future ones at Ubisoft’s free giveaway page.

All you need to claim Rayman Legends is a Uplay account–you can sign up for one at Ubisoft’s website. Once you’ve done that, head over to the free giveaway page and click “Get Free Game.” You’ll be directed to a page where you can choose your platform (PC is the only option for Rayman Legends), after which the game will be added to your account. Rayman Legends is a fantastic 2D platformer that you can play alone or with your friends. Ubisoft says that this is just the first giveaway of many, with more trials and offers on the way from series like Assassin’s Creed and Just Dance.

Ubisoft recently took part in the massive Twitch Stream Aid livestream that raised $2.8 million for the COVID-19 Solidarity Relief Fund. Ubisoft itself pledged $150,000 to the cause and stressed in a press release that it hopes its initiatives will encourage people to stay home in these uncertain times.

In addition to Rayman Legends, Ubisoft has a number of free offers on its giveaway page. These include free trials for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, The Crew 2, and Trials Rising as well as free games Might & Magic: Chess Royale and Rabbids Coding. Ubisoft also recently gave away its beautiful RPG, Child of Light. If you’re interested in more, be sure to check out all of the free games you can claim right now and keep forever.

Claim These Free Red Dead Online Bonuses On PS4 For A Limited Time

Red Dead Redemption 2’s online mode, aptly titled Red Dead Online, is currently giving away some free bonuses to PS4 players. PlayStation announced the news via Twitter, noting players have until April 6 to claim their bonuses.

Red Dead Online players on PS4 can snag three free Ability Cards right now. All you have to do to get your free cards is play Red Dead Online by April 6 and then go to the Abilities section of the Pause menu. It’s as easy as that. Unfortunately, these bonus items are not currently available on Xbox One or PC.

With recent world events, you may be concerned that Red Dead Online development might be on hold. However, Rockstar Games confirmed that Red Dead Online’s events will continue as planned during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, Rockstar Games’ employees are working from home at the company’s request. Of course, things could change, so stay tuned to GameSpot for all of your up-to-date news.

In related news, longtime Rockstar Games boss Dan Houser has left the company. Houser was one of the co-founders of Rockstar Games, along with his brother Sam. The two brothers were responsible for much of the creative decisions on Rockstar Games titles, particularly known for their story work.

If you’re concerned about spending more time inside, away from friends and family, we at GameSpot understand. That’s why we put together the best movies, TV, and games you can enjoy while you self-isolate. We’ve also collected all of the free games currently available during this crisis.

Amazon Prime Members Can Claim 5 Free Games In March 2020

As part of Twitch Prime, the streaming service offers free games to Twitch and Amazon Prime Members every month, and March 2020 is no exception. In case you aren’t familiar with the program, if you link your Twitch account to your Amazon Prime membership or sign up for Twitch Prime, you get five free games–usually smaller indies–and in-game loot for popular online multiplayer games. It’s one of the lesser-known perks of Amazon Prime, but you shouldn’t overlook it.

This month subscribers can snag Furi, a stellar action shoot-em-up featuring a series of increasingly challenging boss fights. The science-fiction aesthetic coupled with the stylish color palette makes for a captivating atmosphere, and the gameplay is fast and fun. You can also grab Epistory – Typing Chronicles, a gorgeous action-adventure set in a world made of origami; Whispers of a Machine, a 2019 point-and-click adventure starring an augmented special agent; Bomber Crew, a World War II strategy game; and Mugsters, a physics-based puzzler filled with aliens.

Along with the free games, you can claim new in-game loot for Apex Legends, Destiny 2, and FIFA 20. Fans of FIFA 20’s Ultimate Team mode can grab the Twitch Prime Player Pack, which includes an 81+ overall item and four rare gold player items. Destiny 2’s latest batch of in-game loot is live now and includes new Exotics, including the Praxic Finery Sparrow, Sails of Osiris ship, and Poultry Petting emote.

Twitch Prime subscribers can also grab an exclusive Doom Eternal skin that makes the Doom Slayer look like a pink unicorn.

You can start claiming free games and loot from Twitch Prime by linking your Twitch account to your Amazon Prime account. If you’re not a current Amazon Prime subscriber, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial before taking the plunge on the $119 per year membership.
