The Division 2 down: Server Maintenance for Warlords of New York bug fixes

The Division 2 Warlords of New York update launched Monday, and in fact, it launched early for those on PS4 and Xbox One, too.

But the release of the latest DLC wasn't without a few problems.

To begin, downtime was extended twice before The Division 2 players started experiencing Echo 07 Errors when attempting to play.

Then at launch, many players were experiencing issues not being able to interact with Community Leader NPCs.

And the only advice at the time seemed to be restarting the game and fast traveling in and out the Safe House. Even then, Ubisoft said it 'might help'. So, far from ideal.

Well, lest than 24 hours after the update started rolling out, The Division 2 is having to go offline again.

Writing overnight, Ubisoft's Twitter account for the game confirmed yet more downtime, writing:

"Greetings Agents, The servers will shut down for an unscheduled maintenance on Tuesday, March 3rd at 09:30 AM CET / 03:30 AM EST / 00:30 AM PST to deploy several fixes."

That's the goods news, but the bad news is that the estimated downtime is approximately 3 hours. Of course, it's possible this could be resolved quicker, but by the same token, it could also take longer.

Thankfully we do have more details at least on what the developers intend to fix, with a forum post from the Community Developer, Chris Gansler, confirming the following:

"We are working on the fixes below but they will require further testing. While we want to deploy these during the maintenance we currently cannot guarantee which fixes will go live. We will update you on the status during the maintenance."

This message was also followed by a quick bullet point list for some of the bugs hoping to be fixed.

  • Fixing an issue that prevents the objective "Reach City Hall" of the WONY introduction mission from updating and teleporting players to a different location.
  • Fixing an issue that causes players who quit the helicopter cinematic to get placed into and stuck in Trinity Church.
  • Fixing an issue that prevents players from interacting with Community Leader NPCs.
  • Further backend improvements to prevent ECHO errors to occur for players.

We'll be sure to update this page as more information becomes available.
