Tales From The Borderlands Sequel Rated In Korea
New Tales from the Borderlands and its Deluxe Edition has been rated in South Korea, pointing to an imminent release date or announcement.
Tales from the Borderlands was first launched back in 2014, developed by Telltale Games. It's a five-part episodic story set on Pandora that takes place before Borderlands 2 and 3, expanding on characters like Handsome Jack. A sequel is now underway from Gearbox itself who announced earlier this year that we can expect it to arrive in late 2022, lining up with this new rating in Korea (thanks, GamesRadar).
We don't know much about what the sequel will entail but Gematsu who first spotted the Korean rating claims that a reveal is "set for sometime this Summer", so we could see new details emerge anytime now. Typically, following a rating, news and a release aren't far out, but Gearbox hasn't officially stated anything just yet, so we'll have to wait for its word.
Unlike the main Borderlands games, Tales from the Borderlands was a point-and-click adventure with an emphasis on story and narrative, much like Telltale's other outings. However, when the studio closed in 2018, it was pulled from sale until publisher 2K acquired it in 2021.
But if you don't want to wait for a big reveal or for the actual release, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has finally arrived on Steam, launching on June 23. You can pick it up right now or even dig into the original Tales from the Borderlands at a 25 percent dicsount. Otherwise, there's the Borderlands movie to look forward to, roping in Kevin Hart as Roland, Jack Black as Claptrap, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, and more. All from director Eli Roth. There's plenty of Borderlands to go around, so pick your fancy.
