PlayStation 5 consoles are finally back in stock at Argos in the UK.
As part of the latest PS5 restock, customers are encouraged to use the Argos app to purchase the console, and to check local stock levels.
The PS5 console is also available on the Argos website, both with and without a disc drive.
“PS5 is now in-stock at Argos,” reads a PS5 UK Stock tweet. “Use the app to add to your basket and search for local stores where it’s available.
“Some success in the early hours using multiple devices (iOS + Android) but it’s opened up to more now.”
RETRO GAMES: More of your favourite childhood games could make a return very soon
Remarkably, the PlayStation 5 console is still in stock at the time of writing, making it one of the biggest and best restocks to date.
Indeed, one PlayStation 5 stock checker account has described the restock as a huge success.
The latest restock comes just days after Sony suggested that stock shortages could become less severe in the coming months.
PS5 stock shortages have been affected by a lack of components, particularly semi-conductors.
According to Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki, the company has secured enough parts to meet sales targets.
“The shortage of semiconductors has impacts in various areas and through various measures, we have been taking some action,” Totoki revealed.
“For PS5, the target has been set for the number of units to be sold this year, and we have secured the number of chips that is necessary to achieve that. Regarding the supply of semiconductors, we are not concerned.”
With Sony hoping to sell 14.8 million units by March 2022, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to secure a console soon.
PlayStation look back at every game from the PS4 generation
In the meantime, if you want to give yourself the best possible chance of securing a console, it’s worth bookmarking some of the more popular stock checker accounts.
This includes Digital Foundry Deals, Stock Informer, PS5 UK Stock – Instant Updates, and Express Gaming.
It’s also a good idea to check some of the smaller retailers, where stock drops are less predictable – and therefore don’t attract as much attention.
ShopTo has been dropping stock at weekends, for example, while companies like EE and BT have started selling to existing customers.
