Nintendo Direct March: ‘Three sources’ confirm March 26 Switch announcement

All Nintendo fans are (patiently ?) waiting on the announcement of a new Nintendo Direct, which in most quarters is believed to be revealed today, March 26th.

That was the impression given by several notable sources in the past week.

The first was claimed by the same Twitter user who previously leaked E3’s cancellation before anyone else caught wind.

VentureBeat has also suggested that a new Nintendo Direct could arrive before the month is up.

However, at 5.30pmGMT, it's seemingly increasingly unlikely. Or at the very least the odds are dwindling.

However, VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb appears to be sticking to his guns and suggesting that the announcement is still coming … and it's coming today.

In a Twitter thread that started simply with the Staff Writer saying " @NintendoAmerica please announce the Direct so people stop asking me about it." Grubb eventually added that he'd been given more confirmation of an announcement.

"I got another, separate confirmation yesterday of March 26. Three different sources."

Seems as though the VentureBeat writer is pretty confident that news is set to drop shortly.

We'll be sure to update this page with more info as it becomes available but it's possible news could arrive in the coming hours.

It's worth adding, that whilst it might be 5.30pm GMT in the UK, it's only 10.30 in the morning for people in LA.

Stay tuned for more details.
