Mortal Kombat 11 is free on PS4 and Xbox all weekend
Mortal Kombat 11 is free to play this weekend on PS4 and Xbox One so if you're stuck inside with nothing to do and no cash to splash on new games, go download it now.
As one of the better fighting games on modern-day consoles, there's really no excuse to skip out on the game whilst it's free to download and play.
The game's trial has already started and will finish on Monday, March 9. So if you get downloading it now you'll be able to enjoy it all weekend.
Better still, to make sure you're really getting your money's worth (or not, given its free) this trail also includes the games DLC guest fighters.
That means you can sample the likes of Shang Tsung, Sindel, Nightwolf, The Terminator and the game's most recent addition, The Joker.
The game will also offer you a pretty hefty amount of content: you'll be able to try out the first two chapters in the cinematic campaign and indulge in all the game's multiplayer modes, which as mentioned, will include the whole roster of characters.
Should you like the game enough, it's also good news because Warner Bros. Interactive has discounted all versions of the game and the DLC Kombat Pack.
So you'll be able to pick up the game on the cheap if you want to continue battering the living daylights out of other players for the forseeable.
Whatsmore, if you're subscribed to PlayStation Plus, Xbox Live Gold, or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, then you'll be able to buy the game at a further discount.
Why would NetherRealm just give away the game this weekend? Well, it's all in aid of drumming up support and exposure for the games Final Kombat espotrs event.
And though the event has been hit by the Coronavirus, meaning there will be no spectators, plans are still going ahead to hold the event and showcase the games sixth and final DLC character Spawn.
