Genshin Impact: Best Weapons For Xiangling
Genshin Impact regularly features new five-star characters relevant to the game's ongoing story and regions, but the game also offers fantastic, at times underrated, permanent four-star characters in its summoning pool. The game continues to add plenty of new four-star characters too, alongside the featured five-stars. These characters are easier to build and are formidable additions to any team.
Xiangling, for example, is one of Genshin Impact's free characters, and she's one of the most powerful and flexible characters in the game. She's a Pyro polearm user, and if you haven't already, you can get her for free by clearing Floor Three of the Spiral Abyss. Since she's also a permanent banner character, you can easily build her constellations and maximize her capabilities. Here are the best polearms for Xiangling and their rarities, ensuring she's ready to take on any role you assign to her.
8 Dragon's Bane (Four-Star)
If you're working to build a Support Xiangling build, then Dragon's Bane is a solid choice. This polearm increases the damage done against enemies that are affected by either Hydro or Pyro, meaning it's excellent for reactions.
Given how fast Xiangling moves and attacks, she's a great choice for reactions. Dragon's Bane also increases Elemental Mastery, but where it shines most on Xiangling is in a team where you have consistent Hydro support backing you up. That way, you can apply Hydro, switch to Xiangling, create reactions and amplify damage thanks to this weapon's unique properties.
7 The Catch (Four-Star)
Xiangling offers an incredibly powerful Elemental Burst ability, creating a tornado of flames that deals Pyro damage to enemies. This tornado stays in effect even after you take Xiangling off the field, meaning it's fantastic for setting up reactions. That's where The Catch comes in.
The Catch is a polearm that increases both Energy Recharge as well as the damage and critical rate properties of the wielder's Elemental Burst. With The Catch, you can continually build up energy for Xiangling's Elemental Burst and increase how often it occurs and how hard it hits.
6 White Tassel (Three-Star)
If you're looking for something more primary DPS focused, the White Tassel is a great option that you can't go wrong with.
The White Tassel polearm increases two stats, both of which are key to any combat situation. First of all, the White Tassel increases critical rate, letting you land attacks that hit harder more often. Secondly, it increases normal attack damage by a set percentage, up to a whopping 48 percent by the time you hit refinement level five. This polearm is a solid choice for most characters including Xiangling as it focuses on dishing out more damage overall.
5 Halberd (Three-Star)
The Halberd is a unique and powerful weapon that also focuses on maximizing damage, albeit in a slightly different way when compared to the White Tassel. The first stat that the Halberd increases is your attack percentage.
The Halberd's second effect is what makes it so unique. Every ten seconds, your normal attacks deal a massive amount of damage, only once. Though this starts at 160 percent for refinement level one, it quickly becomes 320 percent by refinement level five. With the Halberd, Xiangling can regularly alternate between setting up reactions and dealing an absolutely massive amount of damage, making her a reliable Sub-DPS.
4 Favonius Lance (Four-Star)
When it comes to using Xiangling for her Elemental Burst, you want to ensure that you're getting as many Energy Particles as you can. That's where the Favonius Lance shines. It increases your Energy Recharge rate, making it easier for Xiangling to recharge and use her burst more frequently.
The Favonius Lance also favours a build with decent critical rate. At refinement level one, critical hits have a 60 percent chance of generating Energy Particles. By refinement level five, that becomes a 100 percent chance, so you'll want to build Xiangling with a high critical rate and then just let her Elemental Burst do its magic.
3 Crescent Pike (Four-Star)
The Crescent Pike focuses on increasing pure physical damage while also encouraging collecting Energy Particles. This works well for Xiangling as you want her to deal solid damage numbers and use her Elemental Burst often.
With the Crescent Pike, every time Xiangling picks up an Energy Particle, her normal and charged attacks will deal additional damage, up to 40 percent higher, at refinement level five. However, it is important to note that this weapon increases physical damage, not elemental damage.
2 Staff Of Homa (Five-Star)
Unique and instantly recognizable, the Staff of Homa is an often sought after, limited banner weapon. If you have it, consider yourself and your characters to be lucky, as this polearm is very powerful.
Using the Staff of Homa, you can build a powerful Sub-DPS Xiangling. This weapon increases critical damage, so it might be a good idea to invest in a high critical rate for Xiangling if you decide to use it. It also increases the wielder's HP by 20 percent at refinement level one, and gives an attack bonus that scales off of HP.
1 Engulfing Lightning (Five-Star)
Another limited weapon, Engulfing Lightning, makes for a great choice if you're focusing on building Xiangling for her Elemental Burst. Though Engulfing Lightning is hard to come by, it's a solid choice.
This weapon increases Xiangling's Energy Recharge while also increasing her attack stat. Attack increases by 28 percent at refinement level one, scaling off of Energy Recharge, giving you the best of both worlds. Better yet, after you use your Elemental Burst, you gain an additional boost to your Energy Recharge for 12 seconds.
