(Almost) Every Final Fantasy Game On Switch Is On Sale
Nintendo Switch fans might not be able to play Final Fantasy VII Remake next month, but a ton of Final Fantasy games are now on sale on the eShop in Europe and North America.
The first six Final Fantasy titles appeared on Nintendo systems, but Square Enix (then known as Squaresoft) jumped ship to Sony during the 32-bit era and released Final Fantasy VII on the original PlayStation. This caused a rift between Square Enix and Nintendo, which wasn’t fully resolved for years. The two companies have since made up in a big way, as almost all of the PlayStation Final Fantasy games are available on the Switch.
It isn’t just Final Fantasy games that are part of this sale, as games like Octopath Traveler, Collection of Mana, and some of the Dragon Quest titles have had their prices reduced. Many of these games are JRPGs from the same era and would likely appeal to the Final Fantasy fanbase.
A lot of these games are already available on other modern systems, but the portability factor of the Nintendo Switch is a major plus for these titles. A lot of these games have extra quality of life features that make them even better than their original games. Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX are some of the best JRPGs ever made, but the ability to speed up battles is a godsend.
The Square Enix publisher sale on the Nintendo eShop will end on March 30, 2020.
