WeSave! finals are set as Nigma, Vici Gaming and Thunder Predator emerge victorious

Last day of semifinals series at the online non-profit WeSave! Charity Play brought more upsets and new donations stretch goals. Courtesy of community donations, the prize pool surpassed the $180,000 mark, which means that all regional finals got upgraded from best-of-three to best-of-five. Additionally, the NA region will feature a 3vs3 All-Star Match.

Day four started with a Chinese region showdown between Vici Gaming and EHOME, where the latter got dismantled 2-0 by a Mars-Medusa combo in game one and by an unstoppable Troll Warlord played by Zeng “Ori” Jiaoyang in game two. With VG making it into the finals, the China final act is set to bring a long awaited matchup. Wednesday, March 25 PSG.LGD will finally get the chance to test themselves this season against the best team in the region.

Team Secret versus Nigma was the treat in the European bracket. And, as anticipated, the series was a blast, with Nigma coming in thirsty and extremely prepared to take down the kings. Game one featured an Io-Riki duo from Nigma, which Secret tried to counter with a core Bounty Hunter, but to no avail. After nearly one hour back and forth, Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi’s six slotted Riki was able to take down Secret’s Ancient through back door protection to put Nigam in the lead. Captain  Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi took Bounty Hunter for himself in game two and played a bit of mind games with Secret in the drafting stage, as he put Miracle on Nature’s Prophet and let Borislavov “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov to carry on Necrophos. The game went down quickly, as Secret were given no space to farm their mid Arc Warden and thus they were eliminated from the event.

Last series of the day pitted the two South American team that should have been at the Los Angeles Major, Thunder Predator and beastcoast. Unfortunately, the SA prodigy carry Héctor “K1” Rodríguez couldn’t join his team for this series and beastcoast had to play some musical chairs with their players to accommodate Sergio “Prada” Toribio in the support five position. The last minute change proved to be extremely detrimental for them, as Thunder Predator executed them in two 20 minutes games to reach the SA finals.
