Sccc and LaNm face possible quarantine for 14-days

With ESL One Los Angeles being cancelled due to the threat
of the Corona Virus pandemic, the victors of the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor
Season 3, Team Aster, have decided to return home to China – but for three of
them, a long quarantine period seems likely on return.

Having won the recent Minor and secured their spot at the Major, Team Aster remained in Kiev, Ukraine after the event to attempt to secure their Visas for the United States. However, with the event being cancelled and many flights being grounded or cancelled due to the threat and spread of the virus, Aster are still currently in Kiev. Thanks to a post on Weibo, which later appeared translated on Reddit by u/SEAtrooper1211, there has been further information on the matter.

Guo Zhili, CEO of Team Aster and team manager of Sirius –
the sister team of Aster, had the following announcement,

Due to the drastic reduction of routes during the extraordinary period and the outbreak of many countries in Europe. We chose to have members with a valid Schengen visa (Xxs, BoBoKa, Fade ChYuan) and manager to leave Kyiv later today and to fly back to Shanghai via Finland.

The others (Sccc, LaNm and I) will fly back to Shanghai transferring via Frankfurt, Germany*. We will set off on March 14. We will take good care and obey the arrangements for isolation after returning to China (still hope that we will not be quarantined at a designated location or alternatively be quarantined at home).”

According to the post on Reddit, those who have lived or travelled in Germany prior to entering Shanghai must undergo a 14-day quarantine, either at home or at a designated establishment. This means that for Song ‘Sccc’ Chun, Guo Zhili and Zhang ‘LaNm’ Zhicheng, they will possibly be placed into quarantine upon returning to China. The three are set to leave Kiev today and there will surely be more information once they arrive and the authorities decide their fate.

With the COVID-19 outbreak having caused the suspension and cancellation of many events throughout the gaming and traditional sporting fields – as well as the closing down of flight routes between countries, it remains to be seen what will happen with the Dota 2 Pro Circuit and the players involved in the Majors. We will keep you up to date with any and all information that is available on the matter.
