PSG.LGD suffer a third loss in a row at the China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2

Having lost to Vici Gaming just two days ago at the China
Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2, PSG.LGD have struggled to regain their footing, losing
three series in a row now – while VG also stumble to their first defeat.

China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2 is quickly approaching the end
of its group stage battle, with the eight teams fighting to avoid early
elimination. For PSG.LGD, a magnificent start was seen, with three victories in
a row leaving them unbeaten at the top of the group. However, the team were
handed their first loss of the event by Vici Gaming just two days ago, and
since then, everything has seemingly fallen apart. After losing to VG, LGD were
dominated by Team Aster yesterday which was followed by a loss to Sparking
Arrow Gaming today – a team in seventh place with only one win under their belt
prior to today.

While it is unlikely that LGD will be eliminated, with
Invictus Gaming currently having no victories, it does not bode well for their
clash with Elephant tomorrow. That was not the only upset of the day though, as
VG were set to continue their dominance as they took on Aster. On the back of
their victory over LGD yesterday, Aster were poised and composed as they
managed to claim a solid 2-1 victory, spoiling the unbeaten streak of VG and
putting themselves in contention for upper bracket action.

For now, Vici Gaming remain at the top of the group, with
Aster, EHOME and Elephant in second, third and fourth, respectively. LGD, with
their three loses, have dropped into fifth place, with one series left to play
tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see whether Elephant can take down
LGD in their series tomorrow, especially since it could spell an early
elimination for LGD if SAG can secure another win in the final days of the
China Dota2 Pro Cup Season 2 group stage.
