Philadelphia Fusion’s Heesu Is Eligible To Play
Philadelphia Fusion’s Hee-Su “Heesu” Jeong turned 18 today which means he is officially eligible to play for the Fusion in the Overwatch League. An electric hitscan player, Heesu adds another interesting dynamic to Philadelphia’s DPS line as they just gained even more depth on an already talented roster.
Heesu made is name in Overwatch Contenders Korea as an integral part of RunAway throughout 2019. He does share most roles with Fusion’s star Jae-hyeok “Carpe” Lee so he might not get played as much as he would for a lot of the other teams in the league. He will be valuable going forward, though, as hero pools change constantly throughout the season. If a meta develops with two hitscan heroes like the Tracer/Soldier 76 one recently when the Fusion lost their first match, a Heesu and Carpe duo could be insanely strong.
The Philadelphia Fusion are one of the best teams in the league, arguably top two, and look to continue their success moving forward. With the implementation of hero pools into the league this season, depth and flexibility are even more important for team to possess. The Fusion already had a stacked lineup before and it’s unclear how much playing time Heesu will actually get, but with him ready to showcase what he is capable of to the rest of the league, they are even scarier.
