North American Qualifiers for VALORANT First Strike To Feature a $100K Prize Pool

Riot Games along with Nerd Street Gamers and Engine Media have announced that the VALORANT First Strike: North America qualifiers start on Oct. 26. The $100K USD event will not see any invites with all teams needing to qualify for the main event.

Accepted teams will have the chance to navigate two qualifiers in order to make it to the final eight teams that will compete in the main event in order to become the first-ever First Strike champion.

Nerd Street Gamers will facilitate the event as tournament organizer welcoming 128 teams. From there the tournament will play itself down to 16 teams, who will compete in the first qualifier. Afterwards, the top four teams will advance straight to the main event, and the next four teams will advance into the second open tournament for another chance to fight for their spot in First Strike.

However, for this event there will be a second chance in the form of another qualifier, produced by Engine Media starting Nov. 11. The top 12 teams will move into the second qualifier, joining the four teams from the first qualifier. From there, four more teams will make it into the First Strike event — making a total of eight teams competing for a slice of the $100K pie.
