MSL hits free agency
Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen has joined free agency. This comes just days after it was revealed that North would be ceasing all operations.
“We are of course sorry that we now have to close the Danish-based e-sports company North, which has made a nice impression in international e-sports,” says Lars Bo Jeppesen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of North and CEO of Parken Sport & Entertainment in a statement on fck.dk.
MSL had been on the bench of North alongside Philip “aizy” Aistrup since the organization decided it would take a new approach to their CS:GO division. The 26-year-old had rejoined North in 2020 as North once again attempted to reroute their team into a more successful lane. Unfortunately, the team continued their streak of not living up to the hype of the pieces.
Given the current Counter-Strike landscape, many former professionals or free agents have jumped ship to VALORANT, however, it seems MSL still wants to pursue the Valve title. He states that he’s “looking into joining an existing stable team – but considering the high quality talent available right now, I also see a unique opportunity of starting a team from scratch.”
He then fills out the rest of the post with an image showcasing his careers highpoints.
Do you think a team could use MSL? Which? What about a new lineup? Who’s on it?
