Liquid sign Grim to replace nitr0

Liquid Nick “nitr0” Cannella is to be no more as the 24-year-old is stepping down from the lineup. According to a report from DBLTAP, Michael “Grim” Wince is being brought on as the replacement.

This has been confirmed by Rush B Media who were informed that Grim will be competing with the Liquid roster at the upcoming DreamHack Open Summer event set to be played from August 8th to 16th.

We can confirm that Michael “Grim” Wince will be starting for Team Liquid at Dreamhack next weekend. We’re not ready to share more at the moment, but we will have more to share with the community soon,” Liquid said.

Grim has been of Triumph since February and been a strong performer for the squad, earning a lot of praise for his showings at cs_summit 6 and the DreamHack Open Summer North America qualifier. Much of this praise comes from his ridiculous 109 ADR and 120 kill best-of-three series against MIBR.

nitr0 has also made a public statement with a tweet stating “Until next time, friends.” nitr0 had been a member of Team Liquid since 2015 and played many roles for the team throughout his tenure which is one of the longest in all of CS:GO in terms of staying with an organization.
