Interactive Valorant map shows off what we can expect at launch
Valorant‘s gameplay inspired website Blitz to create an interactive map featuring a full bird’s eye view and detailed callouts for the game. Riot Games’ debut first-person-shooter (FPS) isn’t scheduled to release until summer 2020. However, fans are keeping close tabs on all things related to the game.

An interactive look at a Valorant map
Blitz has painstakingly reviewed all Valorant footage to design an overhead view of the first map. The map is a great resource for players looking to gain a competitive edge before stepping foot into the game for the first time. Here’s a snapshot of it.
From this vantage point, the map seems massive. However, after looking at the official gameplay preview, the map in-game is a lot more compact.
Naming conventions remain in line with those heard in Counter-Strike, such as “long” and “heaven.” The callouts identify easily distinguishable areas of the map, ensuring new players can quickly familiarize themselves with hot spots. Similar to CS, the defending side’s spawn is relatively closer to the spike sites compared to the attacking spawn. A major difference between other objective-based FPS games and Valorant is the presence of three bomb sites rather than two. Attackers are tasked to destroy only one of the three bomb sites but have quite a ways to go before they reach any of them.
Gameplay footage revealed the game contains teleporters, quickly transporting players from sites and sides of the map.
Show in the image above, on the right side of Viper’s POV, is the teleporter. While some of the grounds feature teleporters, there’s no indication of them in the map preview at this time. In any case, the interactive maps are still in beta and will be updated over time.
There have been no official statements concerning additional Valorant game types besides 5v5 bomb defusal. The addition of other game modes could introduce new map designs, but only time will tell.
