fng to stand in for Alliance at WePlay! Pushka League
Alliance are set to start their journey at the $250,000 WePlay! Pushka League today, but they are still down one player. In the recently concluded ESL One league they used OG.Seed’s Andreas Per ‘Xibbe’ Ragnemalm, but he isn’t an option anymore as now both teams are playing in the same tournament.
OG.Seed claimed a spot at Pushka League via regional qualifiers, but at the same time, one of the directly invited teams decided to forfeit their slot. Gambit Esports announced their decision to withdraw from the event citing lack of practice and poor internet set-up for some of their players which leads to a rather frustrating experience in the online formats. With Gambit’s captain, Artsiom “fng” Barshak free for the next couple of weeks, Alliance took the opportunity to invite him on a stand-in basis for the WePlay! Pushka League.
While fng is the mastermind at Gambit, where he takes care of the strategical part and of the drafts, most likely during his time with Alliance, all those duties will still be fulfilled by Gustav “s4” Magnusson, who returned to the team at the beginning of the month.
Alliance roster for WePlay! Pushka League
- Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov
- Linus “Limmp” Blomdin
- Gustav “s4” Magnusson
- Simon “Handsken” Haag
- Artsiom “fng” Barshak (stand-in)
Alliance’s first series in the tournament will take place against Team Secret today, April 24 at 19:00 CET.
