ESL Sets Eyes on Cologne for Return to Live Competition – The Esports Observer

ESL Gaming has released an update to its event secure for the second and third quarter of 2021, announcing plans to continue providing quarterly updates as health restrictions continue to evolve.

While the upcoming DreamHack Masters Spring and June’s Intel Extreme Masters Summer will take place online, ESL is looking to return to in-person competition in July with ESL One Cologne. The event will still keep its doors closed to a public audience, but if the company is able to follow its current plan Cologne will be the first in-person tournament ESL has hosted since March 2020.

According to a release, ESL is looking at a full return to live events in November, and aiming to host in-studio competitions in the meantime.
