Dota 2: The Chinese Dota 2 Professional Club Association Overview

Here’s everything we need to know about this online league.

Even though fans hoped that the coronavirus wouldn’t effect esports, it did.

As expected, pretty much any LAN Dota 2 event has been either canceled or postponed, including the fourth DPC tournaments that we had to see.

As a result, there are now many cool online tournaments to watch. In addition to WePlay!’s charity event, there is also something else that we’ll be able to watch. The Chinese Dota 2 professional Club Association is an event that will bring together the best Chinese teams in the world. The idea behind this is to allow the best teams in the region to practice against each other.

About the tournament

This event will bring together a total of 10 teams. Eight of them will be directly invited, whereas the others will have to go through qualifiers. The actual start of this event is in two days from now (March 23), so don’t forget to watch it. However, since it’s in China, you won’t be able to watch an official Twitch stream, so keep that in mind.

The Maine Event will be a single-elimination bracket where each series will e Bo3. However, the final ranking will be determined based on how many points each team has. In order to win a point, a team has to win the Bo3.

Even though the prize pool isn’t that big, this tournament is going to be very interesting to watch. The reason behind this is that the audience will be able to choose heroes and put players in a 1v1 scenario.

Here are the eight directly-invited teams;

  • Vici Gaming
  • Invictus Gaming
  • Royal Never Give Up
  • Newbee
  • Keen Gaming
  • Team Aster
