Complexity decimated by Vitality, eliminated from IEM Global Challenge
It was a rough showing for the North American organization as their Counter-Strike lineup went 0-2 and were eliminated from their last event of the year in not so pleasant fashion. Complexity opened up the event against Astralis and faired only slightly better in terms of rounds but still fell 0-2 (16-7, 16-11).
Against Vitality they would be unable to hit double digits on either map despite getting seven rounds on the T side of Nuke before swapping at the half. From the CT side Complexity would only manage two more rounds as Vitality’s shox caused havoc across the map to finish with a +11 kill-to-death differential.
Map two turned out to be an even tougher pill to swallow. Despite winning the pistol round, Complexity would go on to lose 13 of the remaining 14 rounds in the first half, only picking up the last to match the first. Going into the second half down 13-2, Complexity gave themselves a lifeline with yet another pistol round victory. It wasn’t meant to be, however, as Vitality stole away the following round again and ended with two more of their own to take the map 16-3 and series 2-0.
