Call of Duty Endowment Gives Jobs to Over 11,000 Veterans in 2019
The Call of Duty Endowment has truly been a force of positivity to former and current American servicemen and women.
In 2019, the Call of Duty Endowment placed more than 11,000 veterans into high-quality jobs. It also raised funding to place 16,000 more.
Now in its tenth year, the Call of Duty Endowment said it has and will continue to place more than 66,000 veterans into jobs to date. It’s thanks to help from grantees, corporate partners, the gaming community, and Activision Blizzard employees. What is one of the most impressive feats is the fact that the average payroll option given to the near 70,000 veterans is roughly 60,000 dollars. With that amount, one from a group that has just started its initiative to give back to the community shows off a lot of hope of what is to come for the future.
Another fascinating statistic comes from the fact that over 93% of the veterans in the Call of Duty Endowment program are now enrolled in fulltime positions at their perspectives companies. In a world and at a time where the esports craze continues to grow, despite a lot of people being unsure what the heck “those esport things” even are, the COD Endowment shows huge credibility, character authenticity, and real results of benefits outside of the gaming community.
These stories inspire hope for gamers, war veterans, and esports reporters at a time where gamer fueled-Doritos savvy branding and “check out how many hits we got last night” water cooler fodder matter more than actually trying to help hardworking American people. America is at a loss in a political sense, a country once praised for its ability to bring out the best in its citizens, a people known for their power of freethinking conversation, are at a cold war of civil war subterfuge. Hell, even supporting something kindhearted like this might be labeled “wrong” by certain sides of the political spectrum.
However, that doesn’t matter. The facts do, and no matter what will happen in the next four years or possibly the next decade onward, the Call of Duty Endowment has gone above and beyond helping real-life American heroes.
The Call of Duty Endowment identifies and funds the most efficient and effective organizations that get unemployed veterans back to work. The Call of Duty Endowment helps veterans find high-quality careers by supporting groups that prepare them for the job market and by raising awareness of the value vets bring to the workplace.
So if you can give a few bucks, or maybe write to the Endowment program to figure out if you can truly help out, do it. Because as great as it feels to win a round of Domination against a bunch of internet strangers, we guarantee you’ll feel better after helping to change a real person’s life who fought to protect this country (as well as our gamer community).
